      DAACO Torgue converter

I just rebuilt an A4LD on a 1990 2.3L Mustang and needed a rebuilt stock converter. I didn't want to spend a whole lot. I was already over budget on the trans rebuild. After looking around, I found this one from DACCO, but was concerned with the quality. I was concerned with the welds at first as it looked incomplete. I called DACCO and talked to the floor boss who works on these converters first hand. He assured me the converter would not leak and the TIG stich welds were done manually to fix tiny pin holes found after pressure testing to 80psi. It's really great that DACCO reps would take the time to speak with me and explain the testing process. After that conversion, I was much more confident with installing the converter and not as worried about it leaking. So far it's worked great. I've had it for about a month, and there has been no problems or leaks noted. A set of new converter to flexplate bolts would have been nice. There was a small chip on the tip of the hub too, however, this is cosmetic and does not seat with the pump. I'm happy with DACCO's level of customer service, and the quality of DACCO's products so far. Like I said, for the price it's well worth it. I don't plan to run the car hard, so if it goes out in a year or two I will have another opinion.

Pros: For the price can't beat it, It worked and fit perfectly.

Cons: Mostly cosmetic, Could have provided new torque converter to flexplate bolts
