Works and way cheaper than dealer part for 2000 Nissan Maxima

1 of 1 people found this helpful

If you need to replace on a 2000 Maxima, the flasher is a little tough to get to. It is to the right of the lower left dash fuse box by about 3-4 inches. It's not the blue plug (horn), its the black one which is attached to a little arm. I could not remove it without dropping the lower piece of dash trim and then working it out from its holder. The auto zone EP34 flasher looks different from the original but the pin size and location did match up perfectly. I could not get the new flasher to fit in its original location. Not a problem, I attached it with a little electrical tape or it will just hang free. It seems like the turn signals and emergency flasher now blink a little more frequently but this could be because I got used to the old flasher slowing down as it was dying.

Pros: Price about 1/3 -1/2 of dealer price, convenience, in stock now

Cons: different shape than OEM, maybe flashes just a little faster than OEM, but not annoying
