    Rear Window Wiper/Washer Systems

    Removal & Installation



    Wiper Motor
    1. Remove the rear wiper arm finish cap, nut, and wiper arm.
      2.  
    2. Open the liftgate, remove the trim, the fasteners and remove the liftgate trim panel.
      3.  
    3. Remove the rear wiper motor bolts.
      4.  
    4. Remove the motor by sliding the pivot shaft out of the rear window grommet.
      5.  
    5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

      Fig. Slide the pivot shaft out of the rear window grommet to remove the rear wiper motor.

    To install:

    1. Connect the electrical connector.
      2.  
    2. Install the rear wiper motor through the rear window grommet. Tighten the wiper motor mounting bolts to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).

    3. Install the liftgate trim panel.
      4.  
    4. Install the rear wiper arm.
      5.  

    Wiper Washer
    1. Remove the center high mounted stop lamp.
      2.  
    2. Disconnect the rear washer nozzle hose from the rear washer nozzle.
      3.  
    3. Rotate the rear washer nozzle 45° counterclockwise and remove the nozzle.
      4.  
    4. Installation is the reverse order of removal.
      NOTE
      Soapy water may be used as a lubricant when connecting the hose to the rear nozzle.
