REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
3.0L Engine
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
- Remove the 2 flex pipe-to-converter nuts. Remove and discard the gasket.
- Remove the 2 exhaust pipe-to-flex pipe nuts.
- Pry the rubber hangers from their mounting hooks and remove the flex pipe. Remove and discard the gasket.
To install:
- Install a new gasket between the exhaust pipe and flex pipe. Position the flex pipe and attach the rubber hangers.
- Grease the nuts and install the 2 exhaust pipe-to-flex pipe nuts.
- Install a new gasket between the flex pipe and the converter. Grease the nuts and install the 2 flex pipe-to-converter nuts.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Start the engine and check for exhaust leaks. Shut off the engine and lower the vehicle.
