    1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
    2.
    3. Check all electrical connections are clean and tight. Repair and broken, cracked or loose connections or damaged wiring.
    4.
    5. Turn the key on and let the engine idle for two minutes.
    6.
    7. Inspect the fuel rail pressure sensor vacuum hose between the intake manifold and the fuel rail pressure sensor for air leaks and correct connection.
    8.
    9. Turn the key off.
    10.
    11. Remove the vacuum hose from the fuel rail pressure sensor. Inspect the fuel rail pressure sensor and vacuum hose for traces of fuel.
    12.
    13. If fuel is found replace the fuel rail pressure sensor.
    14.
    15. Turn the key off.
    16.
    17. Connect a 5 amp fused jumper wire between the Pin 1 on the sensor harness side and Pin 3 on the harness side of the fuel rail pressure sensor.
    18.
    19. If the voltage greater than 4.5 V- replace the fuel rail pressure sensor.
