    CAUTION
    Some models covered by this manual may be equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which uses an air bag. Whenever working near any of the SRS components, such as the impact sensors, the air bag module, steering column and instrument panel, disable the SRS, as described in Section 6.

    Left Side



    1. Remove the instrument panel carrier.
    2.  
    3. Remove the air temperature actuator retaining screws.
    4.  
    5. Disconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector.
    6.  
    7. Remove the left air temperature actuator.

    To install:

    1. Install the left air temperature actuator.
    2.  
    3. Tighten the air temperature actuator retaining screws
    4.  
    5. Tighten the screws to 17 inch. lbs. (1.9 Nm).
    6.  
    7. Install the air temperature actuator electrical connector.
    8.  
    9. Install the instrument panel carrier.
    10.  
    11. Recalibrate the air temperature actuator on vehicles equipped with automatic climate control.

    Right Side



    1. Remove the instrument panel carrier.
    2.  
    3. Remove the air temperature actuator retaining screws.
    4.  
    5. Disconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector.
    6.  
    7. Remove the right air temperature actuator.

    To install:

    1. Install the right air temperature actuator.
    2.  
    3. Tighten the air temperature actuator retaining screws
    4.  
    5. Tighten the screws to 17 inch. lbs. (1.9 Nm).
    6.  
    7. Install the air temperature actuator electrical connector.
    8.  
    9. Install the instrument panel carrier.
    10.  
    11. Recalibrate the air temperature actuator on vehicles equipped with automatic climate control.
