    Relieving Fuel System Pressure

    1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
    2.  
    3. Remove the fuel pump fuse from the panel.
    4.  
    5. Start the engine and allow it to run until it stalls. Crank the engine for a few seconds to relieve additional fuel pressure.
    6.  
    7. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    8.  
    9. When repairs are complete, replace the fuel pump fuse and connect the negative battery cable.
    10.  

    1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.

    3. Remove the fuel pump fuse from the panel.
    4.  
    5. Start the engine and allow it to run until it stalls. Crank the engine for a few seconds to relieve additional fuel pressure.

    7. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    8.  
    9. When repairs are complete, replace the fuel pump fuse and connect the negative battery cable.
