    The compressor cycles ON and OFF to maintain the evaporator temperature within a specified range. When the evaporator temperature falls below the specified temperature, the thermal control amplifier interrupts the compressor operation. When the temperature rises, the amplifier turns the compressor ON.

    Remove the screws securing the thermistor retainer at the front of the cooling unit. Replace the thermal control amp assembly with a new one. The cooling unit does not have to be removed for these procedures.
