Oil Filler Cap

Oil Filler Cap Operation:

A removable cap, usually in the valve cover, used to contain engine oil or can be removed to add engine oil. They are metal or plastic, and can attach by locking tabs or twist threads. To remove turn counterclockwise and to install turn clockwise. A sealing gasket or o-ring will be located on the upper portion of the cap, and prevents loss of oil and system pressure when in contact with the valve cover.
