Smog Pump

Smog Pump Operation:

Sometimes called the air injection recirculation (AIR) pump, it's a belt-driven device designed to force outside air into the exhaust ports. The outside air will supply oxygen to stimulate the continued burning of hot excess fuel and gases leaving through the exhaust valves and passing into the exhaust manifold.

How To Instructions:

Inspect - Check for obvious problems.

Replace - Out with the old, in with the new.
