Ported Vacuum Switch Operation:

A temperature actuated switch that acts as an on or off switch for vacuum circuits. It can be used to control vacuum actuated components like the EGR valve, canister purge valve and the automatic choke. It opens and closes the vacuum signal path when the coolant temperature changes.
