Harmonic Balancer

Harmonic Balancer Operation:

The harmonic balancer is also known as a vibration damper. Usually, it has one or more fan belt pulleys attached, with a cylindrical weight ring bonded byrubber to a crankshaft-mounted ring assembly. The outer ring absorbs crankshaft vibrations that may cause the crankshaft to break. The balancer can attached after keyway alignment by one large bolt, or it can be a press on unit.
