Air Injection Reactor Pipe Operation:

The air injection reactor (AIR) pipe, with the aid of the air injection pump (smog pump), injects air directly into the cylinder head or exhaust manifold at each exhaust valve port. The air helps to heat the exhaust gases and burn off toxic gases as they escape from the engine cylinder as the exhaust valve opens.
