    Pinion Seal

    • Inspect the driveshaft, companion flange and differential.
    • Inspect the seal for signs of leakage. if it is leaking, check the pinion bearing. if the bearing sounds fine but hte piinion seal is still leaking, suggest an on-the-car seal replacement.
    • If the pinion seal has hardened, it will wear a groove in the companion flange or pinion yoke. The seal must be replaced and the flange repaired.
