Removal & Installation
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.

Remove or disconnect the following:
Front wheelsBrake fluid hosePin boltsCaliper assembly from the vehicle
To install: ]
- Use a large C-clamp to press the caliper piston back into the caliper.

Install or connect the following:
New pads, new shims and pad retainersBrake caliper and torque the pin bolts to 23 ft. lbs. (31 Nm)Brake line to the caliper, using new copper washers, and torque the connecting bolt to 12-14 ft. lbs. (17-20 Nm).Wheels
- Bleed the brake system and top off the master cylinder as necessary.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
- Remove the front wheels.
- Disconnect the brake fluid hose.
- Remove the pin bolts.
- Remove the caliper assembly from the vehicle.
To install:
- Use a large C-clamp to press the caliper piston back into the caliper.
- Install the new pads, new shims and pad retainers.
- Install the brake caliper and torque the pin bolts to 23 ft. lbs. (31 Nm).
- Using new copper washers, install the brake line to the brake caliper and torque the connecting bolt to 12-14 ft. lbs. (17-20 Nm).
- Install the wheels.

Bleed the brake system and top off the master cylinder as necessary.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
