Do not remove both shock absorbers at one time. Suspending the rear axle at full length could result in damage to brake lines and/or hoses.

  1. Open the trunk lid.

  2. Remove the trim to access the coil-over shock retaining nut.

  3. Remove the coil-over shock absorber retaining nut.

  4. Raise and safely support the vehicle.

  5. Support the rear axle with safety stands.

  6. Remove the bolts from the coil-over shock upper mount.

  7. Remove coil-over shock lower mount through bolt.

  8. Remove the coil-over shock.

To install:

  1. Install coil-over shock absorber at the lower attachment. Install bolt hand-tight.

  2. Install bolts to the coil-over shock mount.

  3. Lower the vehicle.

  4. Install the coil-over shock upper mount attaching nut.

  5. Tighten the lower mount through bolt to 125 ft. lbs. (170 Nm).

  6. Tighten the coil-over shock upper mount bolts to 21 ft. lbs. (28 Nm).

  7. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.

  8. Tighten the upper coil-over shock retaining nut to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).

  9. Install the trim.

  10. Road test the vehicle.
