    Bad experience

Car had a bad rear bearing, so I bought these drums, because they come with the bearing installed and I did not have the time, nor press to remove and install a new bearing. After replacing both rear drums, I immediately had a continuous clunking sound from the right rear wheel each time I applied the brakes. Took the drum back and replaced it with another, since the item was still under warranty. After replacing the right rear drum, the clunking sound was still there. Took the car to my garage and they found that the inside of the drums were machined too rough, causing the drum to catch on the brake shoes when the brakes were applied. After having the drum re-machined, the clunking sound when braking disappeared. Poor machining of the brake drums by the manufacturer caused an added expense and much frustration. Don't buy these drums.

Pros: Buying drums with the bearings installed saves a lot of time

Cons: Drums are machined poorly and cause braking issues and added expense.

    Second Time Around

1 of 1 people found this helpful

I installed these a year and a half ago, then the bearings failed, luckily they were still covered under warranty. It is very very important to torque these to specs (173) ft lbs. I suspect the the reason the last set failed was the mech that I had install them did not torque them to specs or he used a impact gun to tighten them. I will have to see if this time they last longer than a year in a half. If they don't I will just replace the bearing next time with a Timken or SKS bearing.

Pros: Price, All in one drum and wheel bearing replacement, Ease of installation.

    Cons: Cheap Chinese Bearings.

    Great brake lining/bearing assembly

This is the rear wheel bearing assembly attached to the brake drum. This part makes it super easy to replace your rear wheel bearing. Just pull out the old one and retorque to spec. Great job ford!

Pros: love the design ford used here

    Cons: cannot see any

    Great part matched the OEM

3 of 4 people found this helpful

These drums come with the bearings already installed. To get the old ones off you will need to barrow a puller from your local AutoZone store. Make sure to torque them down correctly ( 173lbs) Also you can sear you tube for videos on how to do this, but bottom line for around 100, I go t new brakes shoes, drums and bearing for my car. I had an issue with a loud roar and now the car is as quite as can be. (The noise was coming from the bearings in the old drums)

Pros: Fit perfect and was easy to do

    Cons: None for this item
