    2000 Chevy Silverado 1500

The result of my clutch slave replacement was very good. The packaging and slave assembly looked quality built. The hydraulic connection on the slave was an upgrade from the original, the locking device snapped together firmly. Bleeding seem to be better if done with a light suction on the bleeder and a full reservoir of brake fluid. As I said if there is a problem as stated in the reviews, a do over is a bad pill to swallow. As mine did work so well, lets hope someone has seen the reviews and made the improvements necessary for a more dependable replacement part. I depend on Auto Zone to keep my Family on the road.

Pros: So Far All Is Good

Cons: From Reviews, a lot of hard work for it not to work.

I installed this slave cylinder without considering that it may be faulty. my mistake. It leaked immediately, not just a little, but worse than the old GM part, which had 198000 miles on it.. The fluid poured right through the unit, so I am thinking that there is no quality control. Sometimes you buy a part and it is defective and it is not too big of a deal. Just remove it and get another one (water-pump, alternator), but if you are considering buying this part you already know that it sits inside the transmission bell-housing. Maybe I just had real bad luck, but went to GM for the part the second time around.

    Pros: none

    Cons: would not hold pressure.
