    Best Option with warranty

I purchased this part for my girlfriend's 2000 Subaru legacy outback with automatic transmission. Her car was hesitating going up steep hills and would have delayed acceleration. After performing a tune up, cleaning other parts, replacing air filters, spark plugs, fuel filters, transmissions fluids, etc that didn't fix the issue, we finally gave in an bought this expensive sensor. It wasn't as cheap as some online distributors, but it also wasn't the most expensive. We bought this one because we liked the lifetime warranty and the low-ish price. We also wanted the option to return it if it didn't work. I was skeptical that this would solve the problems.

Installation was very easy but the manual recommended testing the sensor position with a voltmeter to make sure it was adjusted correctly since the bolts holding the part onto the car could be adjusted. That was an added stressor, but wasn't difficult to use or perform.

And it fixed the issues immediately!

Now a couple weeks later our knock sensor failed and left us with a costly repair. I believe changing this TPS sensor affected the knock sensor (also an expensive sensor). But after replacing that sensor and the spark plugs and wires again, the car is quiet and smooth. We hope to get a lot of use out of these sensors, but the TPS did fix our hesitation and acceleration issues.

Pros: Lifetime warranty, Easy Installation, Can fix multitude of issues

Cons: Expensive Price, Symptoms could be related to other parts or sensors, Proper mounting requires voltmeter
