I got these as a direct replacement for my 03 Ford. The OEM part number was stamped on the original idler and that was use to identify a replacement part. I bought two and used them to replace the stockers since they were both high mileage but only one was actually bad. 6 weeks later I heard the sound of a failed idler, got the truck home and pulled the pulley and the seal had failed and grease was thrown around the surface of the pulley. Since I had pulled a working, tho high mileage, pulley I put the original back in. Now exactly 24 hours later, was driving home and heard the sound of failed pulley. Got the hood up and sure enough the other Duralast pulley had failed and threw grease around the pulley surface. So I pulled that one and put the original failed Ford part back in figuring it would probably last long than these things did when they were new.

    Pros: None

Cons: Both failed at 500 miles.
