At first I only replaced one at 100k which remedied my odyssey only running only five cyclinders but I wish I had not been so cheap and done them all at 100k. At 150k two of the factory boots became unglued and stayed stuck on top of spark plugs, fortunately for me on the front side of the engine. After trying unsuccesfully with mini pick set for three hours to remove only one of the two I took a trip to Harbor Freight & picked up their tweezer set. Use the longest straight one with sharp tips. If you don't have a HF nearby any tweezer should do as long as it is about 8 inches long & has sharp tips. First shoot with a bit of WD40 & wait a few minutes. Then carefully insert tweezers. When you feel you are contacting the rubber boot press firmly which will pierce it through. Slowly turn left and right and pull back gently and your spark plug cavity should give birth to the stuck boot. The reason that this works is because it allows you to contact boots at two points, allowing you to turn & free it. I also seems to work since it applies a bit of pinching pressure allowing you to extract it even though you are not squeezing the tweezers together. To prevent this from happening again I used dielectric grease and applied a very light coat to the upper portion of the plug where the boot end comes into contact with it. I did the same with inside and outside of the last (1) one inch of the coil. I plan on doing this every 25k or so. Van now runs like a dream. Let me know if you have success with this method as I wished someone had shared it with me & saved me a lot of time and frustration.

    Cons: NONE YET

They work, but the rubber boot comes unglued

I had one dead OEM factory ignition coil on my Acura and the check engine light came on. I went ahead and replaced all 6 with Duralast C1221 ignition coils to keep the car reliable. They are expensive and are exactly the same price that the Acura dealer charges. I wanted the lifetime warranty that Autozone offers and the Acura dealership does not. However, I did get 400,000 miles and 14-years out of my Acura factory OEM ignition coil packs. On the Autozone Duralast ones, the first time I tried to pull them out to change the spark plug, all the rubber boots on the ends of the ignition coils came off and were stuck way down inside the metal tube for the spark plugs. It took me hours and hours and a lot of patience to get each one out of the hole. This never happened with the Acura factory OEM ignition coils, even after 8 spark plug changes over 14-years. Next time, I will stick with the Acura dealership parts. Duralast needs to use better glue on the rubber boots.

    Pros: Ignites the spark plugs

Cons: The rubber boot will come off way down inside the metal spark tube.
