    freezing rain Love em

I have been using theses blades for 35 years and when I first put theses on I too had trouble with wind. The rubber that is on them catches the wind more and lifts them up to where they do not wipe. These blades are made for winter only and really slower speeds, put them on in Oct. or Nov. and take them off in the spring. Now to take care of the wind they make fins that you put on your arm of the blade so it forces the blade to stay on the windshield and wipe. If you ever drive in freezing rain you will LOVE these things. Freezing rain freezes the mechanical part of a normal wiper blade and causes them NOT to wipe your windshield that is why you get out and beat them on your windshield and get back in your car and drive a half mile and get out and beat them again. When the normal blades don't wipe correctly that causes your windshield to ice up and makes you think that your defroster is not keeping up. It is not your defroster it is your normal wiper blade freezing up that causes your windshield to ice up. You will find out that these are not really for driving at higher speeds mainly for slower which is freezing rain. Ideally carry them with you and when you get in freezing rain stop and put them on and when the rain is done take them off. I leave them on

    Pros: freezing rain

Cons: high wind or driving fast with out fins

    Good Idea, Terrible Execution

4 of 4 people found this helpful

As i stated these seemed to work great for about two weeks. Until (I imagine) the blade started shaping in the direction they sit when wipers are turned off. Now they wobble and sometimes chatter across my windshield. Ironically it seems the more water there is to clear, the worse they are. I would say the clip design is poor because after the blades chattered and hopped on the windshield for a while, it shakes them loose. Thank god I noticed it before they flew off on the highway or worse... the steel wiper arm had a field day on my window.

Pros: They worked well for about two weeks

Cons: Chattering, Wobbles across windshield, Poor clip design

Seemed like a good idea at the time...

I purchased these blades for my 2011 F350 pickup, of course on a day it was raining. As soon as I hit 60mph on the highway, they started to chatter. The wind coming across the glass catches the "sail" of rubber covering the blade and it takes flight. One swipe out of 10 the blade is able to clear the rain off the windshield. As the title states, I'm sure the rubber covering seemed like a good idea at the time, but unfortunately catches too much wind to allow the blade to make contact. I'll be returning these blades ASAP.

Pros: Appears they would not accumulate ice

Cons: Blade catches too much wind, rubber cover is starting to break already (30 miles)
