  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Siphon as much power steering fluid from the pump as possible.
  4.  
  5. Remove the engine appearance cover.
  6.  
  7. Remove the pressure hose routing bracket bolt from the upper mount.
  8.  
  9. Remove the pressure hose at the pump pressure port.
  10.  
  11. Remove the hose clamp securing the supply hose at the pump.
  12.  
  13. Remove the supply hose from the pump.

  15. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Accessory Drive Belts, removal & installation.
  16.  
  17. Remove the 3 pump mounting bolts through the pulley openings.
  18.  
  19. Remove the power steering pump.

To install:

  1. Using a lint free towel, wipe clean the open power steering pressure hose end and the power steering pump port. Replace any used O-rings with new. Lubricate the O-ring(s) with clean power steering fluid.
  2.  
  3. Place the power steering pump into position and tighten the mounting bolts to 19 ft. lbs. (26 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Accessory Drive Belts, removal & installation.
  6.  
  7. Install the supply hose at the pump and secure the hose clamp.
  8.  
  9. Install the pressure hose at the pump pressure pump and tighten the tube nut to 24 ft. lbs. (32 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Install the pressure hose routing bracket bolt to the upper mount.
  12.  
  13. Fill and bleed and power steering system.
  14.  
  15. Start the engine and check for leaks.
  16.  
  17. Install the engine appearance cover.
