Removal & Installation
Switch

NOTE
A battery reconnect procedure must be performed anytime the battery has been disconnected.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the door trim panel, as outlined in this section.
  4.  
  5. Using a suitable prytool, or other flat-bladed tool, remove the window/lock switch (2) from the door trim panel.

To install:

  1. Install the window/lock switch (2) to door trim panel and snap into place.
  2.  
  3. Install the door trim panel, as outlined in this section.
  4.  
  5. Connect battery negative cable
  6.  

Window Motor & Regulator
Front
  1. Remove the trim panel from the inside of the front door, as outlined in this section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the speaker from the inside of the front door.
  4.  
  5. Remove the watershield from the inside of the front door, as follows:
    1. Carefully separate the lower half of the watershield from the inside of the door.
    2.  
    3. Lift the lower half of the watershield upward far enough to access and pull the trim panel take outs of the door wire harness out of the slit near the center of the watershield.
    4.  
    5. Carefully separate the upper half of the watershield from the inside of the door.
    6.  
    7. Lift the upper half of the watershield upward far enough to disengage the inside latch lock knob and link and the inside remote latch release handle link from the slit near the upper rear corner of the watershield.
    8.  
    9. Remove the watershield from the door.
    10.

  7. Remove the screw (3) that secures the bottom of the pull cup bracket (2) and the bottom of the window regulator rear rail to the inside of the front door.
  8.  
  9. Loosen the screw (1) that secures the top of the pull cup bracket to the inside of the front door. Disengage the upper pull cup bracket screw from the keyed hole and remove the bracket from the inside of the front door.

  11. Using the regulator, adjust the front door glass (1) position up or down as required for access to the two window regulator glass clamps (3).
  12.  
  13. Loosen the screw (2) in each of the glass clamps far enough to release the glass.
  14.  
  15. Lift the glass out of the regulator clamps and into its full up position, then tape the glass securely into place.

  17. Remove the two screws (6) that secure the bottom of the front regulator rail (5) and the regulator motor support bracket (4) to the inside of the door.

  19. Loosen the two screws (2) that secure the tops of both regulator rails to the keyed holes (1) on the inside of the door.
  20.  
  21. Lift the front regulator rail upward within the door far enough to disengage the screw from the keyed hole in the door.

  23. Lower the front regulator rail within the door (1) far enough to access and disconnect the door wire harness connector (4) from the regulator motor (2) through the speaker mounting hole (3) on the inside of the door near the front.

  25. Lift the rear regulator rail upward within the door far enough to disengage the screw from the keyed hole in the door.
  26.  
  27. Remove the regulator through the large access hole on the inside of the door near the rear.

To install:

  1. Load the regulator into the door through the large access hole on the inside of the door near the rear. Engage the screw at the top of the rear regulator rail into the keyed hole on the inside of the door near the rear.
  2.  
  3. Position the front regulator rail within the door so that the door wire harness connector can be reconnected to the regulator motor through the speaker mounting hole on the inside of the door near the front.
  4.  
  5. Engage the screw at the top of the front regulator rail into the keyed hole on the inside of the door near the front.
  6.  
  7. Install and tighten the two screws that secure the bottom of the front regulator rail and the regulator motor support bracket to the inside of the door. Tighten the screws to 90 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Tighten the two screws that secure the tops of both regulator rails to the keyed holes on the inside of the door. Tighten the screws to 90 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Remove the tape securing the door glass in its full up position, then lower the glass to engage it into the two window regulator glass clamps.
  12.  
  13. Using the regulator, lower the glass far enough to access the two window regulator glass clamp screws
  14.  
  15. Tighten the screw in each of the glass clamps to 90 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  16.  
  17. With the upper screw hand-started into the pull cup bracket, position the screw into the keyed hole on the inside of the front door.
  18.  
  19. Install and tighten the screw that secures the bottom of the pull cup bracket and the bottom of the window regulator rear rail to the inside of the front door to 100 inch lbs. (11 Nm).
  20.  
  21. Tighten the screw that secures the top of the pull cup bracket to the inside of the front door to 90 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  22.  
  23. Install the watershield onto the inside of the front door.
  24.  
  25. Install the speaker onto the inside of the front door.
  26.  
  27. Install the front door trim panel onto the inside of the front door, as outlined in this section.
  28.  

Rear
  1. Remove the trim panel from the inside of the rear door, as outlined in this section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the watershield from the inside of the rear door, as follows:
    1. Carefully separate the lower half of the watershield (2) from the inside of the door (1).
    2.  
    3. Lift the lower half of the watershield upward far enough to access and pull the trim panel take out of the door wire harness out of the slit near the front of the watershield.
    4.  
    5. Carefully separate the upper half of the watershield from the inside of the door.
    6.  
    7. Pull the upper front half of the watershield away from the inside of the door far enough to disengage the inside remote latch release handle link from the slit in the upper center area of the watershield.
    8.  
    9. Lift the upper half of the watershield upward far enough to disengage the inside latch lock knob and link from the slit in the upper rear corner of the watershield.
    10.  
    11. Remove the watershield from the door.
    12.  

  4.  
  5. Remove the door glass channel and bracket from the inside of the rear door, as follows:
    1. Loosen the two screws that secure the rear door glass channel and bracket to the inside of the rear door.
    2.  
    3. Disengage the two screws from the keyed holes near the back of the inner door panel and remove the channel and bracket from the interior of the rear door.
    4.  

  6.  
  7. Remove the screw (2) that secures the bottom of the pull cup bracket (1) to the inside of the rear door.

  9. Loosen the screw that secures the top of the pull cup bracket to the inside of the rear door.
  10.  
  11. Disengage the upper pull cup bracket screw from the keyed hole and remove the bracket from the inside of the rear door.
  12.  
  13. Using the regulator, adjust the rear door glass (1) position up or down as required for access to the two window regulator glass clamps (2).
  14.  
  15. Loosen the screw (3) in each of the glass clamps far enough to release the glass.
  16.  
  17. Lift the glass out of the regulator clamps and into its full up position, then tape the glass securely into place.

  19. Remove the screw (1) that secures the top of the rear regulator rail (2) to the inside of the door.
  20.  
  21. Remove the screw (4) that secures the regulator motor support bracket to the inside of the door.
  22.  
  23. Loosen the screw that secures the bottom of the regulator rail to the keyed hole (3) on the inside of the door.
  24.  
  25. Lift the rear regulator rail upward within the door far enough to disengage the screw from the keyed hole in the door.

  27. Lower the rear regulator within the door (3) far enough to access and disconnect the door wire harness connector (1) from the regulator motor (2) through the large access hole on the inside of the door near the front.
  28.  
  29. Remove the regulator through the large access hole on the inside of the door.

To install:

  1. Load the regulator into the door through the large access hole on the inside of the door near the front.
  2.  
  3. Position the rear regulator within the door so that the door wire harness connector can be reconnected to the regulator motor through the large access hole on the inside of the door.
  4.  
  5. Engage the screw at the bottom of the rear regulator rail into the keyed hole on the inside of the door near the bottom.
  6.  
  7. Install the screw that secures the top of the rear regulator rail to the inside of the door and tighten to 90 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Install the screw that secures the regulator motor support bracket to the inside of the door and tighten to 90 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Install the screw that secures the bottom of the regulator rail to the keyed hole on the inside of the door and tighten to 90 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  12.  
  13. Remove the tape securing the door glass in its full up position, then lower the glass to engage it into the two window regulator glass clamps.
  14.  
  15. Using the regulator, lower the glass far enough to access the two window regulator glass clamp screws.
  16.  
  17. Tighten the screw in each of the glass clamps to 90 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  18.  
  19. With the upper screw hand-started into the pull cup bracket, position the screw into the keyed hole on the inside of the rear door.
  20.  
  21. Install the screw that secures the bottom of the pull cup bracket to the U-nut on the inside of the rear door. Tighten the screw to 100 inch lbs. (11 Nm).
  22.  
  23. Tighten the screw that secures the top of the pull cup bracket to the inside of the rear door. Tighten the screw to 90 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  24.  
  25. Reinstall the glass channel and bracket onto the inside of the rear door.
  26.  
  27. Reinstall the watershield onto the inside of the rear door.
  28.  
  29. Reinstall the inner belt weatherstrip onto the rear door.
  30.  
  31. Reinstall the trim panel onto the inside of the rear door, as outlined in this section.
