Removal & Installation

Manual Control Panel



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions.
  2.  
  3. Remove the glove box.

  5. Remove the side panel on the right side of the center console.
  6.  
  7. Press out the control panel from the rear and disconnect it from the control shaft.
  8.  
  9. Remove the connectors.
  10.  
  11. Remove the clip securing the wire to the control panel.
  12.  
  13. Unhook the wire loop.

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  2.  
  3. Make sure that the control shaft is correctly inserted into the heating unit before fitting it to the control panel.

With Automatic Temperature Control



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions.
    WARNING
    When ACC unit is replaced, the new unit must be programmed.

  2.  
  3. Remove the two outer buttons under the ACC panel.
  4.  
  5. Push out the ACC unit from behind.
  6.  
  7. Unplug the connector.

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  2.  
  3. Calibrate the ACC-system by simultaneously pressing the buttons AUTO and OFF .
    WARNING
    All previous diagnostic trouble codes are erased when calibrating. Obtain readouts of stored diagnostic trouble codes before calibrating.
