BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT

  1. Loosen the locknuts on the brake light switch and retract it away from the brake pedal.
  2.  
  3. Loosen the brake pushrod locknut. Adjust the pedal height by screwing the pushrod in and out. The height from the floor to the back of the pedal should be:

    1986-89 Integra: 7.05 in. (179 mm)
     
    1990-93 Integra: 6.10 in. (155 mm), manual transmission
     
    1990-93 Integra: 6.30 in. (160 mm), automatic transmission
     
    1986-90 Legend: 6.70 in. (171 mm)
     
    1991-93 Legend: 8.40 in. (213 mm)
     
    Vigor: 7.80 in. (199 mm), manual transmission
     
    Vigor: 7.60 in. (194 mm), automatic transmission
     

  4.  
  5. Tighten the locknut. Check the free-play. It should be 0.039-0.196 in. (1-5mm).
  6.  
  7. Screw the brake light switch in until the button is fully depressed and the threaded housing touches the brake pedal.
  8.  
  9. Unscrew the brake light switch 1 / 2 turn and tighten the locknuts.
