REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



1986-89 Integra

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the glove box.
  4.  
  5. Remove the rear mounting screw for the function control panel.
  6.  
  7. Remove the switch hole lids and remove the screws.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the air mix cable.
  10.  
  11. Remove the function control panel and disconnect the connectors.
  12.  
  13. Installation is the reverse order of the removal procedure.

1990-93 Integra

See Figures 3 and 4

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the instrument panel trim and the lower dash panels.
  4.  
  5. Remove the front console and the radio.
  6.  

If the radio is an anti-theft model, have the code ready before installation. Without entering the proper code, the radio will not work.

  1. Disconnect the heater cables and remove the mounting screws from the control panel. Remove the setting plate and disconnect the wiring. Remove the control panel.
  2.  
  3. Install in reverse order and adjust the cables.
  4.

1986-89 Legend

See Figures 5, 6 and 7

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front console. Remove the radio on the non-automatic climate control system.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the control cable from the heater unit on non-automatic climate control systems.
  6.  
  7. Remove the 4 mounting screws and pull out the control unit. Disconnect the wiring and remove.
  8.  
  9. Install in reverse order and adjust the cables.
  10.

1991-93 Legend

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the radio.
  4.  

If the radio is an anti-theft model, have the code ready before installation. Without entering the proper code, the radio will not work.

  1. Remove the screws from the bottom of the control unit and disconnect the wiring. Press the upper retaining clips and pull the control unit out.
  2.  
  3. Install in reverse order.
  4.

Vigor

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the cap over the mounting screw at the bottom, center of the control panel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the screw and pull the panel forward. Disconnect the wiring and remove the panel.
  6.  
  7. Install in reverse order.
  8.
