- Check for leaks or clogging at the crankcase ventilation hoses and the connections.
- Start the engine and allow it to idle. With the engine idling, pinch the hose between the PCV valve and the intake manifold with pliers and listen for a clicking sound.
- If a clicking sound is not heard, check the PCV valve grommet for damage. If the grommet is not damaged, replace the PCV valve and recheck.
