Acura Coupes and Sedans 1986-1993 Repair Guide

Some vehicles are equipped with a driver side airbag. To avoid accidental deployment and serious personal injury, the system must be disarmed before beginning any repair procedure. Read the following safety precautions.

Do not disassemble or tamper with the airbag assembly.
Always keep the short connector on the airbag connector when the wiring harness is disconnected.
Be sure to store a removed airbag assembly with the pad surface up. If the airbag is improperly stored face down, accidental deployment could propel the unit with enough force to cause serious injury.
When rearming the system, connect the battery last with no one in the vehicle.
Do not install used airbag parts from another vehicle, use only new replacement parts.
