    NOTE
The idle learn procedure must be done so the PCM can learn the engine idle characteristics. Do the idle learn procedure whenever you do any of these actions:

    NOTE
Erasing DTCs with the HDS does not require you to do the idle learn procedure.

    Replace PCM.

    Reset PCM.

    Update PCM.

Replace or clean the throttle body.

  14.
  15. Do the PCM idle learn procedure, as follows:
    1. Make sure all electrical items (A/C, audio, rear window defogger, lights, etc.) are off.
    2.
    3. Reset the PCM with the HDS.
    4.
    5. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and wait 2 seconds.
    6.
    7. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, or until the engine coolant temperature reaches 194 ºF (90 ºC).
    8.
    9. Let the engine idle for about 5 minutes with the throttle fully closed.
      NOTE
If the radiator fan comes on, do not include its running time in the 5 minutes.

    10.

  16.
  17. Do the power window control unit reset procedure, as follows:
    NOTE
Resetting the power window control unit is required after performing the following procedures:

    Disconnecting the battery.

Removing the No. 8 (20 A) fuse from the under-hood subfuse box.

Disconnecting the 18P connector from the power window control unit.

Removing the window regulator, glass or glass run channel.

Disconnecting the driver's door wire harness.

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
    2.
    3. Turn the ignition ON (II).
    4.
    5. Lower the driver's window all the way down by pushing the driver's switch to the second detent (AUTO DOWN) when the window reaches the bottom, hold the driver's window switch in the AUTO DOWN position for 2 seconds.
    6.
    7. Raise the driver's window all the way up without stopping by pulling the driver's switch to the second detent (AUTO UP) when the window reaches the top, hold the driver's window switch in the AUTO UP position for 2 seconds.
    8.
    9. If the window does not work in AUTO, reset the power window control unit according to the above procedure again.
    10.

  18.
  19. Enter the anti-theft codes for the radio and the navigation system, then the radio station presets.
