Frame Wire (Electric Compressor)

Nissan Altima 2007-2010


CAUTION
Before beginning service, thoroughly review ALL of the High Voltage (HV) system and general precautions at the beginning of this section. Failure to do so can result in serious personal injury or death.

  1. Remove the air cleaner and air duct.

  3. Remove the front terminal cover bolt from the inverter cover and disconnect the electric compressor inverter connector from the inverter, as outlined in this section.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the electric compressor connector from the electric compressor. Refer to the Electric Compressor procedure.
  6.  
  7. Remove the front engine mounting insulator and bracket bolts. Refer to the accompanying illustration.

  9. Remove the electric compressor frame wire harness clips and electric compressor frame wire harness from the vehicle.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Frame Wire (Main)

CAUTION
Before beginning service, thoroughly review ALL of the High Voltage (HV) system and general precautions at the beginning of this section. Failure to do so can result in serious personal injury or death.

  1. Disconnect the negative, then the positive 12 volt terminal from the 12 volt battery.
  2.  
  3. Remove the rear seat, as follows:
    1. Remove the rear seat cushion trim and pad, by pulling the lock at the front bottom of the seat cushion forward (one for each side), and pull the seat cushion upward to release the wire from the plastic hook, then pull the seat cushion forward to remove.

    3. Remove the seatback hinge anchor bolts.
    4.  
    5. Lift the seatback off rear parcel panel front hangers and remove the seatback assembly.

  5. Remove the fuel tank, as outlined in the Fuel System Section.
  6.  
  7. Remove the 12 volt positive battery cable retaining clips from the trunk compartment.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the DC/DC converter connectors, as outlined under EPS DC/DC converter.
  10.  
  11. Remove the DC/DC converter harness retaining clip from the HV battery assembly.
  12.  
  13. Remove the frame wire from the HV battery assembly, as outlined within the HV Battery Procedure.
  14.  
  15. Disconnect the 12 volt terminal and cable retaining clip from the HV battery assembly, as outlined within the HV Battery Procedure.
  16.  
  17. Remove the frame wire harness retaining clips from the vehicle interior.
  18.  
  19. Remove the air cleaner and air duct.

  21. Remove the inverter cover and terminal cover from the inverter, as outlined in this section.

  23. Remove the frame wire inverter connector bolt and disconnect the frame wire inverter connector from the inverter, as outlined in this section.

  25. Remove the HV fuse box cover from the HV fuse box (1).
  26.  
  27. Remove the HV fuse box terminal cap and nuts (A) from the HV fuse box (1).
  28.  
  29. Open the HV fuse box side cover (B) and remove the harness retaining clip (C) and HV fuse box terminals from the HV fuse box (1).

  31. Disconnect the EPS ECU connectors (D). For more information, refer to the EPS ECU procedure.

  33. Remove the EPS ECU harness retaining clips from the engine room.
  34.  
  35. Remove the EPS ECU bonding wire bolt.
  36.  
  37. Remove the frame wire harness retaining clips from the engine room.
  38.  
  39. Remove the RH member pin stay. Refer to FSU-14, "Removal and Installation".
  40.  
  41. Remove the frame wire retainer nuts and bolts from the underside of vehicle.
  42.  
  43. Remove the frame wire harness assembly with grommet from floor pass through and underside of vehicle.
  44.  
  45. Remove the frame wire harness from the engine room clip and remove the frame wire harness from the engine room.
  46.  
  47. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
