Removal & Installation



  1. Disconnect both battery terminals.
  2.  
  3. Remove the A-pillar finishers.
  4.  
  5. Put selector lever in the drive D position, then remove selector lever knob (CVT Models only).
  6.  
  7. Put the shift lever in neutral, then remove shift lever knob. (M/T Models only).
  8.  
  9. Remove the cluster lid D.

  11. Remove console finisher.
  12.  
  13. Remove the storage bin or CD changer finisher (if equipped).

  15. Remove both instrument side masks.

  17. Open the fuse block cover, remove the instrument lower cover screw, then remove the instrument lower cover.

    1. Disconnect the harness connectors.
    2.  
    3. Disconnect the aspirator tube.

  19. Remove both the console side finishers.
  20.  
  21. Remove the console upper screws.

  25. Remove both the console rear screw covers, then remove the rear screws, then remove the console assembly.

  27. Open the glove box door, remove the glove box assembly screws.

  31. Remove the steering wheel.

  33. Remove the steering column screws, then remove both the steering wheel column upper and lower covers.

  37. Remove the combination meter screws, then remove the combination meter.

    1. Disconnect the harness connector.

  39. Remove the spiral cable.

  41. Remove the combination switch.

  43. Remove the center ventilator grilles.

  45. Remove the cluster lid C assembly upper and lower screws, then remove the cluster lid C assembly.

    1. Disconnect the harness connectors.

  47. Remove both tweeter speaker grilles and disconnect the harness connectors.

  49. Remove the passenger air bag bolt.

  51. Remove the remaining instrument panel screws.

  53. Disconnect the audio harness connector located near the RH A-pillar.
  54.  
  55. Lift the instrument panel high enough in order to disconnect all the necessary harness connectors, then remove the instrument panel.

To install:

  1. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
  2.  
  3. If replacing the Instrument panel transfer all the necessary parts to the new instrument panel.
