Specific to:

Nissan Altima 2009-2010

  1. Drain power steering fluid from reservoir tank.
  2.  
  3. Remove undercover.
  4.  
  5. Loosen drive belt.
  6.  
  7. Remove drive belt from oil pump pulley.
  8.  
  9. Remove piping of high pressure and low pressure (drain fluid from lines).
  10.  
  11. Remove oil pump bolts, and then remove power steering oil pump.

To install:

  1. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Specific to:

Nissan Altima 2009-2010

  1. Drain power steering fluid from reservoir tank.

  3. Remove undercover.
  4.  
  5. Loosen drive belt.
  6.  
  7. Remove drive belt from oil pump pulley.
  8.  
  9. Remove piping of high pressure and low pressure (drain fluid from lines).
  10.  
  11. Remove oil pump bolts, and then remove power steering oil pump.

Specific to:

Nissan Altima 2007-2008

  1. Drain power steering fluid from reservoir.
  2.  
  3. Loosen drive belt and remove it from the steering pump pulley.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the hoses.
  6.  
  7. Remove the bolts and remove power steering pump.

  9. Installation is the reverse of removal. Do not over tighten the hose connections as this can damage O-ring, washer and connector.
  10.  
  11. Refill the reservoir and bleed the system.
