Possible Causes:



TFT sensor signal circuit is open between the sensor and PCM
 
TFT sensor signal circuit is shorted to VREF or system power

PCM has failed

A/T Input Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction (4L80-E)

Possible Causes:



ISS positive (+) circuit is open, shorted to ground or to power
 
ISS negative (-) circuit is open, shorted to ground or to power
 
ISS terminals are corroded or damaged (check for moisture)
 
ISS signal wires routed too close to the Ignition system cables
 
PCM has failed

Accelerator Pedal Position System Malfunction

Possible Causes:



APP sensor connector contaminated with oil or moisture (this condition can cause signal "tracking" between the circuits)
 
When the TAC module detects a fault within the TAC system, it may set more than one code. This is due to the redundant tests run continuously on this system. Locating and repairing a single fault may correct more than one code. Keep this in mind as you review the Captured Info available with a Scan Tool.
