Removal & Installation

  1. Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system.

  3. Remove the radiator fan and the condenser fan.

  5. Remove the radiator upper mountings.

  7. Remove the radiator grill.
  8.  
  9. Remove the condenser:
    1. Disconnect liquid tube and discharge tube. Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

    3. Remove the 2 upper mounting bolts.

    5. Push the radiator toward engine.
    6.  
    7. Push the condenser toward radiator and pull it upward.

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the following:
    1. If condenser is replaced, add compressor oil to the condenser. Add 1.4 fl. oz. (40 cc). Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
    2.  
    3. Connect liquid tube and discharge tube. Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the hose. Tighten to 7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm).

    5. Evacuate air from refrigeration system.
    6.  
    7. Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.
