Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Remove the wheel.

  7. Remove the brake caliper and rotor. Support the brake caliper securely.
  8.  
  9. If equipped with ABS brakes, disconnect and remove the ABS wheel speed sensor.
  10.  
  11. Remove the 4 bolts securing the hub to the knuckle and remove the hub.
  12.  
  13. Remove the O-ring from the backing plate.

To install:

  1. Install a new O-ring onto the backing plate. Coat the O-ring with multipurpose grease.
  2.  
  3. Install the hub to the knuckle with the mounting bolts and tighten to 59 ft. lbs. (80 Nm).
  4.  
  5. If equipped with ABS brakes, install the ABS wheel speed sensor.
  6.  
  7. Install the brake caliper and rotor.
  8.  
  9. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle.
  10.  
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
  12.  
  13. Check the ABS speed sensor signal.
  14.  
  15. Inspect rear wheel alignment.
