Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative cable from auxiliary jumper terminal.
  2.  
  3. Remove engine cover.
  4.  
  5. Remove air box assembly.

    1. Remove air cleaner housing retaining bolt (2).

    3. Remove clean air hose from air cleaner housing.
    4.  
    5. Lift air cleaner housing (1) upwards and remove.
    6.

  7. Recover A/C system.
    WARNING
    Do not remove pressure cap or any hose with the system hot and under pressure because serious burns from coolant can occur.

  9. Drain cooling system.
  10.  
  11. Remove the grille.
  12.  
  13. Remove under belly pan (if equipped).
  14.  
  15. Remove front bottom splash shield (if equipped).
  16.  
  17. Remove upper and lower radiator hoses at radiator.
  18.  
  19. Disconnect radiator fan electrical connector (1).

  21. Separate radiator cooling fans from radiator.

  23. Disconnect A/C line (1) at condenser/cooler.

  25. Remove transmission oil cooler tubes support bracket at left side of radiator (if equipped).
    CAUTION
    Plastic tanks, while stronger than brass are subject to damage by impact, such as wrenches.

  27. Remove the two Torx® screws located on the upper radiator support that hold the upper radiator mounting brackets.

  29. Tilt the top of the radiator rearward so the mounting brackets slide out of the upper core support.
  30.  
  31. Remove radiator/condenser assembly by lifting the assembly out of the vehicle between the engine and the core support.

  33. Separate the A/C condenser from the radiator.
  34.  

To install:

  1. Position the A/C condenser onto the radiator.
  2.  
  3. Slide the radiator/condenser assembly into position and seat the radiator assembly lower rubber isolators in the mount holes.
  4.  
  5. Install the mounting brackets to the upper core support using two Torx® screws.
  6.  
  7. Install A/C lines to condenser/cooler.
  8.  
  9. Install transmission oil cooler tubes support bracket to radiator.
  10.  
  11. Position radiator cooling fans on radiator.
  12.  
  13. Connect cooling fan electrical connector.
  14.  
  15. Install upper and lower radiator hoses at radiator.
  16.  
  17. Install the grille.
  18.  
  19. Install front bottom splash shield (if equipped).
  20.  
  21. Install under belly pan (if equipped).
  22.  
  23. Fill cooling system.
  24.  
  25. Charge A/C system.
  26.  
  27. Install air box assembly.
  28.  
  29. Connect negative battery cable.
  30.  
  31. Install engine cover.
