Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor

Removal & Installation



  1. Remove the rear right wheel to access the wheel housing trim.
  2.  
  3. There are plastic nuts that hold the wheel housing trim. Remove them and tilt the expansion tank downwards.
    NOTE
    The lines should remain connected.

  5. Open the hose clamp and detach the hose. Unfasten the plug connection and disconnect it from the unit.
  6.  
  7. Detach tank pressure sensor from both retainers on the bottom of the sensor.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Replace the hose clip and ensure the proper locking of the plug connector.
  2.  

  1. Remove the rear right wheel to access the wheel housing trim.
  2.  
  3. There are plastic nuts that hold the wheel housing trim. Remove them and tilt the expansion tank downwards.
    NOTE
    The lines should remain connected.

  5. Open the hose clamp and detach the hose. Unfasten the plug connection and disconnect it from the unit.
  6.  
  7. Detach tank pressure sensor from both retainers on the bottom of the sensor.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Replace the hose clip and ensure the proper locking of the plug connector.
  2.

    The lines should remain connected.

  1. Replace the hose clip and ensure the proper locking of the plug connector.

2.8L (M52) And 3.2L (S52) Engines
  1. Remove the rear right wheel to access the wheel housing trim.
  2.  
  3. There are plastic nuts that hold the wheel housing trim. Remove them and tilt the expansion tank downwards.
    NOTE
    The lines should remain connected.

  5. Open the hose clamp and detach the hose. Unfasten the plug connection and disconnect it from the unit.
  6.  
  7. Detach tank pressure sensor from both retainers on the bottom of the sensor.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Replace the hose clip and ensure the proper locking of the plug connector.

2.8L (M52) Engines
  1. Remove the rear right wheel to access the wheel housing trim.
  2.  
  3. There are plastic nuts that hold the wheel housing trim. Remove them and tilt the expansion tank downwards.
    NOTE
    The lines should remain connected.

  5. Open the hose clamp and detach the hose. Unfasten the plug connection and disconnect it from the unit.

  7. Detach tank pressure sensor from both retainers on the bottom of the sensor.

3.2L (S52) Engines
  1. Remove the rear right wheel to access the wheel housing trim.
  2.  
  3. There are plastic nuts that hold the wheel housing trim. Remove them and tilt the expansion tank downwards.
    NOTE
    The lines should remain connected.
