    1. Use a new self-locking nut where the trailing link connects to the wishbone, and tighten to 51-65 ft. lbs. (66-84 Nm). ( Also, make sure the convex faces of both washers face the wishbone.
    2.
    3. Use a new self-locking nut where the wishbone attaches to the front axle beam. Also make sure the spacer is on the axle beam side and that you install washers on either side of the wishbone.
    4.
    5. Tighten the track rod-to-track arm castellated nut to 25-29 ft. lbs. (32-38 Nm).

  11. Connect the trailing link to the lower arm and connect the lower arm to the axle carrier. Note the following points during installation:
    1. Tighten the bolts fastening the track rod arm to the strut to 33-44 ft. lbs. (56-57 Nm). Use new locknut(s).
    2.
    3. When attaching the wishbone to the front axle carrier, tighten it snugly, complete assembly of the front suspension, and then lower the vehicle and allow it to sit at its normal ride height. Tighten the stop nut to 60-66 ft. lbs. (78-86 Nm).
    4.
    5. Make sure, when reattaching the trailing link to the wishbone that the convex faces of the washers are outward. Check the play of the guide (ball) joint and replace it if the play is greater than 0.08 inches (2mm).
    6.
    7. Some wishbones and some track rods have metal stops cast integrally into the structure. A wishbone with a stop may be used in conjunction with a track rod arm without a stop, but if the track rod arm has a stop, the wishbone must also have a stop.
