REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Except 5, 6 and 7

Series Models

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the center console and the drivers side instrument panel trim next to the steering column. Drain the coolant.
  2.

CAUTION
When draining coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted to ethylene glycol antifreeze, and could drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.

  1. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the inlet on the firewall. Disconnect the wire or control cable from the control valve.
  2.
  3. Loosen the coolant pipe clamp. Remove the 2 bolts from the pipe connection at the control valve and the bolts from the heater connection.
  4.

To install:
  1. Replace the O-rings at the connections.
  2.
  3. Replace the bolts in the connections and attach the pipe clamp. Connect the wire or cable to the control valve.
  4.
  5. Connect the coolant hose at the firewall. Install the center console and the instrument panel trim. Fill and bleed the cooling system. Connect the negative battery terminal.
  6.
