REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Except 1986-88 6 and 7 Series Models

See Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4

  1. Open the trunk and remove the rear lining cover.
  2.  
  3. Remove the wing nuts or screws that retain the tail lamp lens and remove the lens.
  4.  
  5. Replace the defective bulb and reinstall the lens assembly.
  6.

On some of the earlier models, the rear lens assembly was attached by screws on the outside instead of in the trunk.

1986-88 6 Series Models

On these vehicles, remove the defective bulb by first, removing the rear trunk liner and then removing the assembly that the bulbs are housed in. Replace the defective bulb and reinstall.

1986-88 7 Series Models

To replace any of the rear bulbs on these models, open the trunk and pull back the rear liner. The defective bulb can be removed by rotating the socket counterclockwise and removing it. Replace the bulb and turn the socket clockwise to lock into position.
