The BMW rear suspension incorporates semi-trailing arms pivoting on maintenance-free rubber bushings. Springs are coil type, and the spring strut incorporates the double acting shock absorber on later models. Some models include a rear stabilizer bar. All are fully independent for maximum ride comfort and control.
