On 1970-74 models, this number is stamped on a plate attached to the upper steering column and on a Certification Label located on the edge of the driver's door. On most 1975-88 models, the number is located at the left end of the dashboard, visible through the windshield. The vehicle serial number and the vehicle identification plate are also found in various other locations in the engine compartment.
