Instrument Panel



Removal & Installation
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the plate covering the screws, remove the screws and remove the A-pillar trim pieces.

  5. Remove the left side heater duct.
  6.  
  7. Remove the light switch unit.
  8.  
  9. Loosen the screws and folder down the instrument gauge cluster to remove.

  11. Remove the multi-function switch. For additional information, refer to the following topic: -Multi-Function (Combination) Switch, Removal & Installation-.

  13. Remove the center heater ducts.

  15. Remove the radio receiver as follows:
    1. Remove the volume control knob to expose the bolt. Remove the bolt and pull out the multi-information display.

    3. Disconnect the wiring harness to the multi-information display.
    4.  
    5. Remove the left and right hex bolts and pull out the radio receiver. Disconnect the wiring harnesses.

  17. Remove the passenger side airbag module as follows:
    1. Remove the passenger airbag trim cover.
    2.  
    3. Unplug the airbag wiring harness.
    4.  
    5. Remove the mounting bolts and take out the passenger airbag module.

  19. Remove the center console as follows:
    1. Remove the side trim pieces around the bottom of the center console.
    2.  
    3. Remove the top bolt and bolts around the bottom edges of the center console.
    4.  
    5. Put the parking brake lever in its up most position.
    6.  
    7. Raise the center console from the rear and left over the parking brake lever to remove.
    8.  
    9. Feed any wiring harnesses out of the center console.

  21. Remove the lower left trim from the instrument panel.
  22.  
  23. Remove the bottom right trim below the glove compartment.
  24.  
  25. Remove the glove compartment as follows:
    1. Raise the glove compartment door slightly and detach the pin from the retaining strap.
    2.  
    3. Open the glove compartment door fully and remove the mounting bolts.
    4.  
    5. Disconnect the wiring harness, feed the cable out of the holder and remove the glove compartment.

  27. Remove all of the decorative trim from the instrument panel.
  28.  
  29. Disconnect the wiring harnesses for the speakers.
  30.  
  31. Remove the mounting bolts for the instrument panel and remove.
  32.  
  33. Installation is the reverse order of removal.
