Removal & Installation



Control Arm
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the rear wheel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the brake caliper assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the ABS pulse generator.
  8.  
  9. Support the wheel carrier with a suitable jack stand.
  10.  
  11. Remove the shock absorber from the swinging arm.
  12.  
  13. Remove the mounting nut.
  14.  
  15. Remove the upper mounting bolt.
  16.  
  17. Remove the control arm.

  19. Installation is the reverse order of removal. Hand tighten the control arm nuts until the vehicle is resting on the ground. Then tighten the nuts to 74 ft. lbs. (100 Nm).

  21. Check and adjust the alignment as necessary.
  22.  

Push Rod/Integral Link
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the rear wheel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the brake caliper assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the ABS pulse generator.
  8.  
  9. Remove the stabilizer link from the swinging arm.
  10.  
  11. Remove the guide arm from the wheel carrier.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the control arm from the wheel carrier.
  14.  
  15. Support the wheel carrier with a suitable jack stand.
  16.  
  17. Remove the lower nut and bolt. Remove the upper bolt. Press the swinging arm downward and remove the integral link.

  19. Installation is the reverse order of removal. Hand tighten the bolts until the vehicle is resting at ride height on the ground. Then tighten the bolts to 184 ft. lbs. (250 Nm).

  21. Check and adjust the alignment as necessary.

Swinging Arm
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the rear wheel.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the stabilizer link from the swinging arm.
  6.  
  7. Remove the shock absorber from the swinging arm.
  8.  
  9. Matchmark the eccentric bolt to the rear axle carrier.
  10.  
  11. Support the wheel carrier with a suitable jack stand.
  12.  
  13. Remove the eccentric bolt and nut.
  14.  
  15. Remove the bolt and self-locking nut.
  16.  
  17. Remove the bolt that attaches to the integral link.
  18.  
  19. Remove the swinging arm.
  20.  
  21. Installation is the reverse order of removal. Hand tighten the bolts until the vehicle is resting at ride height on the ground. Then tighten the bolts to 184 ft. lbs. (250 Nm).
  22.  
  23. Check and adjust the alignment as necessary.
