Removal & Installation



  1. Raise and support the vehicle by the frame. Allow the control arms to hang free.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front wheels and tires.
  4.  
  5. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe from the exhaust manifold and from the intermediate exhaust hangers.
  6.  
  7. Remove the left and right stabilizer link bolts.
  8.  
  9. Remove the left and right stabilizer shaft brackets.
  10.  
  11. Use the Puller J-24319-B in order to remove the left tie rod end from the steering knuckle.
  12.  
  13. Turn the right strut completely to the left. Guide the stabilizer shaft out the right side of the vehicle in an upward direction.
  14.  

To install:

  1. Install the stabilizer shaft into position.
  2.  
  3. Loosely install the left and right stabilizer shaft insulators, the brackets and the bolts.
  4.  
  5. Loosely install the stabilizer link components.
  6.  
  7. Install the left tie rod end to the knuckle.
  8.  
  9. Tighten the bracket bolts to 35 ft. lbs. (47 Nm). Tighten the link nut to 13 ft. lbs. (17 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Tighten the tie rod end-to-knuckle nuts to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm), plus an additional 180 degrees.
  12.  
  13. Install the exhaust manifold pipe to the manifold.
  14.  
  15. Install the front wheels and tires.
  16.  
  17. Lower the vehicle.
