Removal & Installation



  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the tire and wheel assemblies.
  4.  
  5. Remove the Electronic Level Control (ELC) height sensor link from the control arm.
  6.  
  7. Remove the 2 bolts. Move the ELC height sensor for clearance when removing the stabilizer shaft.
  8.  
  9. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolt, nut, retainer, sleeve and insulators from the control arm.
  10.  
  11. Remove the clamp bolt. Bend the open end of the clamp upward.
  12.  
  13. Remove the stabilizer shaft and the insulator.
  14.  

To install:

  1. Install the stabilizer shaft and the insulator.
  2.  
  3. Install the insulator into the clamp with the slit forward.
  4.  
  5. Bend the link downward to close around the insulator. Center the stabilizer shaft.
  6.  
  7. Install the clamp bolt.
  8.  
  9. Install the link assembly insulators, the sleeve and the retainers.
  10.  
  11. Install the support bolt and the nut.
  12.  
  13. Tighten the link bolt to 13 ft. lbs. (17 Nm).
  14.  
  15. Tighten the clamp bolt to 24 ft. lbs. (33 Nm).
  16.  
  17. Install the ELC height sensor.
  18.  
  19. Install the 2 bolts and tighten to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).
  20.  
  21. Install the height sensor link to the control arm.
  22.  
  23. Install the tire and the wheel assemblies.
  24.  
  25. Lower the vehicle.
