Power Brake Booster

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Detach all electrical connectors from the master cylinder.
  4.  
  5. Remove the brake fluid from the master cylinder, then use a flare nut wrench to disconnect the metal fluid lines.
  6.  


WARNING
Be careful not to bend the lines upon removal of the master cylinder.

  1. Remove the master cylinder from the brake booster.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the brake booster.
  4.  
  5. From under the dash, remove the clevis and its pin from the brake pedal.
  6.  
  7. Remove the booster mounting bolts.
  8.  
  9. Remove the brake booster from the engine compartment.
  10.  

To install:
  1. Install the power brake booster in the reverse order of removal.
  2.  
  3. Fill the master cylinder with Honda approved or equivalent DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid.
  4.  
  5. Properly bleed the master cylinder.
  6.
