CAUTION
Proper installation of wheel speed sensor cables is critical to continued system operation. Be sure that cables are installed in retainers. Failure to install cables in retainers as shown may result in contact with moving parts and/or over extension of cables, resulting in an open circuit.

  1. Install or connect the following:

Speed sensor head into brake support plate and torque the bolt to 75 inch lbs. (8 Nm)

Speed sensor cable routing clips on the brake flex hose bracket, secure the retaining clip and securely tighten the bolts.

Connector end of speed sensor cable through hole in inner fender and into trunk of vehicle.

Speed control sealing grommet into hole in inner fender.

Sealing grommet retainer and attaching bolt on rear frame rail and securely tighten the bolt.

Wheel and tire assembly on vehicle and torque the nuts to 95 ft. lbs. (129 Nm) in a crisscross pattern

  2.
  3. Lower vehicle.
  4.
  5. Plug speed sensor cable connector into vehicle wiring harness
  6.
  7. Install foam sleeve back over the speed sensor cable to prevent rattling
