Diagnosis & Testing
Mirror Motor

Specific to:

Honda CR-V 2007-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the door panel.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the 6P connector (A) from the power mirror.
  6.  
  7. Check motor/actuator operation by connecting power and ground according to the table.
  8.  
  9. If the mirror fails to work properly, replace the power mirror motor.

Mirror Switch

Specific to:

Honda CR-V 2007-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the power mirror switch.
  4.  
  5. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
  6.  
  7. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
  8.  
  9. Install the switch in the reverse order of removal.

Removal & Installation
Motor

Specific to:

Honda CR-V 2007-2008

Special tool required:



KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014
 

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
    WARNING
    Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components. Take care not to scratch the door and related parts.

  2.  
  3. Raise the door glass fully.
  4.  
  5. Pry up on the edge of the mirror mount cover (A) with a trim tool to detach the clips (B) and gently pull out the cover to detach the pin (C) from the door.

  7. Remove the front door panel.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the mirror motor electrical connector.
  10.  
  11. Remove the 3 mirror mounting nuts.
  12.  
  13. While holding the mirror, pull the harness out through the hole in the door. Take care not to scratch the door.
  14.  
  15. Remove the mirror motor from the vehicle.

To install:

  1. Install the mirror in the reverse order of removal.
  2.  
  3. Tighten the mirror mounting nuts to 84 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
  6.  
  7. If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
  8.  
  9. Push the clips into place securely.
  10.  

Switch

Specific to:

Honda CR-V 2007-2008

Special tool required:



KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014
 

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
    WARNING
    Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components. Take care not to scratch the door and related parts.

  2.  
  3. Remove the driver's dashboard lower cover:
    1. Put on gloves to protect hands.
    2.  
    3. Adjust the steering column upward.
    4.  
    5. Remove the driver's dashboard undercover.
    6.  
    7. Gently pull out on the lower edge of the dashboard lower cover to detach the lower clips.
    8.  
    9. Detach the clips and release the hooks by pulling the driver's dashboard lower cover back.
    10.  
    11. If necessary, remove the screws, then remove the driver's lower pocket.
    12.

  5. Push the driver's switch panel (A) out from the dashboard, and disconnect the connectors (B).

To install:

  1. Install the switch in the reverse order of removal.
  2.  
  3. When installing the driver-s dashboard lower cover, replace the clips if they are damaged or stress-whitened. Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
